Christmas in the Big City

December 24th, 2008 · 4 Comments

Being that this may be my last Christmas in the US for some years to come and I am in New York for Christmas, I decided to do what most people do.  My sister, niece and I went down to Rockefeller Center in Manhattan to view the big Christmas tree.  The best way to get downtown is by subway (train).  So, I drove to the closet subway station and parked on a side street.  This was when we had our first adventure.  We got stuck on the ice right up against another car.  My sister and I tried without success to dig the car out and to back the car up.  Being in NYC, I started praying for help because I knew that without it, no New Yorker would stop to help us.  God answered my prayer and a guy stopped and started giving us suggestions of what to do.  We tried and still no movement.  That’s when God sent an angel who knew exactly what to do.  Within five minutes of his coming we were off the ice and able to back up into the parking space.  God still sends angels in time of need.  Here are some pictures of our adventures in the big city.

Merry Christmas! Now you know you are not a NYC tourist….or are you considered that now? lol! In all honesty, I think I am considered one now since I’ve been gone for 8 1/2 years & can’t remember my way around the city! I hope you were able to take in all NYC had to offer as you embark on your mission. All the best for the new year!
