With Love from the US

April 27th, 2010 · 13 Comments

It has been too long since I posted. But in reality, my lack of inspiration to write was a reflection of the way I was feeling during this time of silence. It’s not that nothing has been happening, actually quite the contrary. God is continuing to work in me and open doors so He can work through me. The work He has been doing in me has been the main reason for the silence. God has been using circumstances to draw me closer to Him. He has been using circumstances to open my eyes to the reality of the battle that I am in the midst of.  The battle raging around every believer every day. I knew these times would come. They are very common for missionaries and probable more common for believers that anyone would want to admit.  I am so very grateful for those of you who pray for me when you are prompted by the Lord. I receive a wonderful gift on April 14th.  A mission team from my home church came to Ukraine for 9 days. It was a time of rejuvenation for me. There is a saying, there is strength in numbers. I felt the strength. I felt the love.  Here are some pictures of our time of ministry together.

Glad to hear you’re doing ok. We understand completely how much more difficult it gets to communicate. Hope God is providing fruit for your ministry and that you’re adapting more to the culture all the time.

Tan, we are so proud of you! I know we said it then and just want to say it again. We are grateful to God that we could come and lift your spirits, provide encouragement, and strength for the journey.

Continue to hold fast to your confession of faith and He will sustain you.

    Tania,

God is so good. It was a blessing to be apart of the 2010 Ukraine team. I was so excited to see you and to partner with you in the work that God has called you to be a part of in the Ukraine. Again, if I had to describe my experience there and my time with you in one word it would be “AMAZING”.
    Love ya much!

Tania, good hearing from you. Henry and I are doing fine. Henry has entered into the race for the seat of Prince George’s County Executive. Hope that things are going well for you. When you be back in the states?

    Hi Tania,

Thanks for posting all of those lovely pictures! It is great to see so much cross-cultural sharing in ministry…that was always God’s intent, and just think, you’re on the cutting edge of it! Praise Jesus!

    Hi Tania,
Good to hear from you and know what a blessing the visit/ministry with the First Baptist team was. God works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform. Stay true to your calling and He shall sustain you. When will you be home?

Nice to hear from you. I continue to keep you in my prayers. Knew you would be having company (smile). I finally received a contribution letter from SIM for you. I was wondering what was happening because I have not receive one in a little while. Glad things are going OK and you enjoyed your company. Be good and blessed in the Lord.

Tania.. God is faithful to know what you need when and always looking to show Himself strong. I too was really excited when I heard that a team was going to Ukraine and knew that it would BLESS you to see familiar faces and as God has the ‘house’ of FBCG in a time of refreshing and consecration – that includes you. Just remember that it is not always comfortable, but always worth it. Continuing to keep you in prayer.. Love u much!
